#1: Microsoft Copilot — Best Quality Free AI Images

Go to copilot.microsoft.com → type your image prompt → click the image icon. Powered by DALL-E 3, this produces the highest quality free AI images available — photorealistic faces, accurate text in images, and stunning artistic styles. You get 15 "boosted" (fast) generations daily, then unlimited slower generations after that. No watermarks, no account needed.

DALL-E 3 prompt formula (for best results)

Style first — 'Photorealistic photograph of...' or 'Digital art illustration of...' or 'Watercolor painting of...' — leading with style dramatically improves output.

Subject second — Be specific: 'a Pakistani street food vendor selling biryani at a night market' beats 'a food vendor'.

Lighting and mood — Add: 'golden hour lighting, warm tones' or 'moody blue lighting, cinematic' — lighting transforms the feel of the image.

Camera angle (optional) — 'bird's eye view' or 'close-up portrait' or 'wide-angle landscape shot' — gives you compositional control.

#2: Leonardo AI — Closest to Midjourney Style

Leonardo AI (leonardo.ai) gives 150 credits/day free — enough for 30–50 images at default settings. It has multiple models including ones trained specifically on artistic, fantasy, and game-art styles that closely mimic Midjourney's aesthetic. The free account takes 2 minutes to create and unlocks the full feature set including negative prompts, image-to-image, and inpainting.

#3: Perchance AI — Truly Unlimited Free

Go to perchance.org/ai-text-to-image-generator — no account, no login, completely unlimited free generations. Quality is lower than DALL-E 3 or Leonardo but for high-volume use cases (generating many variations to find the right one), Perchance is unbeatable. Generate 100 images testing different prompts without hitting any limit.
